New York's Country Kicks Off Summer at the Jersey Shore

With awesome performances from Jessica Rose, Matt Stell and Russell Dickerson!

June 3, 2019

Nothing says "summer has started" quite like a Memorial Day weekend celebration at the Jersey Shore!

This year, we shook off winter in Neptune, NJ at The Headliner Night Club with Jessica Rose, Matt Stell, Russell Dickerson, and a few thousand of our very loyal and passionate country fans!

Among those fans was Governor Phil Murphy. Governor Murphy sat down with Kelly and Katie and confirmed that "New Jersey is full of country music lovers" before saying that he "loved country music" and was happy to be with us for the event.

Starting right at 10am, New York's Country 94.7's midday personality Katie Neal walked on the stage and introduced Jesse Addy who hosts afternoons on the station. Jesse then brought out our morning show 's Kelly Ford and the crowd erupted!

Quickly after her introduction, Kelly raised a glass with the crowd with a Nashville classic "Holler and Swaller" cheer before bringing out Matt Stell. Matt performed a lot of new music and closed with his radio hit "Prayed For You" before clearing the stage for Russell Dickerson.

Russell played almost all of his radio hits, including "Blue Tacoma", "Every Little Thing" and the smash hit "Yours." After lots of beer, dancing, climbing to the top of the stage, and a quick - but very epic - dip in the pool, Russell left the stage and the crowd welcomed, Staten Island local, Jessica Rose.

Jessica played a number of her original songs and a few covers that EVERYONE knew before closing out her set with her current single, "Back in Town."

Thank you to all the country fans who came out to celebrate the start of summer with us!
