43-year-old Army vet Jimmy Novak is walking across America. He began his journey in Washington State and going all the way to Disney in Florida. Jimmy has been walking 22 miles a day to raise awareness for the average of 22 veterans who die each day from suicide.  The Army vet is actually reaching his destination today, (August 22nd) which also happens to be his birthday! Jimmy says he wanted to do it because he's dealt with depression and suicidal thoughts in his own.

If you or anyone you know is struggling with depression and thinking of suicide, know that someone is always there. Additionally, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-273-8255.
