You know Christmas is getting close when the MTA rolls out their vintage holiday trains. The cars date back to the 1930s and have rattan seats, roll signs, paddle ceiling fans, and ads dating back from that time period.

You can catch a ride on one of the vintage trains every Sunday until December 29th. The trains leave from Second Avenue on the uptown F line at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.   The best part, riding one of them won't cost you any more than a normal subway swipe, $2.75
