All The Feels: 10-Year-Old Sends Art Kits To Kids During Quarantine

May 21, 2020

A 10-year-old Chelsea Phaire from Danbury, Connecticut is spreading smiles during the pandemic. She started a charity that sends art kits to kids in foster care and underfunded schools. Chelsea's Charity began on her birthday last summer when she asked her friends and family to donate art supplies instead of getting her birthday gifts.

When she started last year, she was distributing about 200 kits a month, but when quarantine began, she kicked it into high gear.  Since March, Chelsea has sent out 1,500 art kits!

She posted a video on instagarm last week sending well wishes to a school that had just received some of her kits.

Thought I'd share the video I sent to Ms. Sara's class after I sent them each an art kit;-) #ChelseasCharity #ArtIsAStart #artteachersofinstagram #art #teachersofinstagram #supportingkids #blackgirlsrock #helpingothers #charity #mentalhealthawareness #artforkids
