As the holiday season quickly approaches, getting your finances in order is very important. There is so much to spend money on ... the gifts, travel expenses, decorations, things add up fast.

Katie Neal is always looking for great deals to pass along to YOU! Today's "deal" isn't exactly on a specific item or service, it's about helping you keep your budget in line. Have you heard that November is "No-Spend November"? Meaning try to only spend money necessities this month.

Here are some things you can do to take away the temptation to whip out that credit card ...

1. Unsubscribe from email lists that your favorite stores send you. Constantly seeing cute new things and sales will only get you thinking about spending money.

2. Cut down on Christmas decorations. Do you really need that new inflatable Santa for your front lawn? Last year's decorations will be just fine.

3. If you are going to be making a purchase, make sure to check around for coupons. There are many promotions around the holidays that can save you big money!

4. Cut back on eating out. Instead of dining out, maybe stay in and cook dinner.

5. If you live in a city, you can save some money on gas or rideshare and walk instead. You can save money AND get a workout at the same time!
