July 29, 2020

It’s been a long time coming for Miranda Lambert.

The Country superstar has a number one hit on the Billboard charts for the first time in eight years and six years on Mediabase. Her latest single “Bluebird” landed on the top of the charts with Lambert taking to Instagram to celebrate.

“2020 hasn't offered a whole lot to celebrate, especially for musicians,” she wrote.

“But I am celebrating this week. I'm celebrating happiness and the feeling of artistic freedom in a time where we all feel a little caged. I'm celebrating country music and all the joy it has brought to my life.”

Lambert is grateful for the support she’s received on her way to this momentous occasion. “I have spent my life doing what I love and I feel more blessed and humbled than ever to have this song of hope resonate with you all,” she said. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Fellow country musicians took to social media to congratulate Miranda on her number one single. Carrie Underwood, who appeared on Lambert’s last number one single “Somethin’ Bad,” congratulated her and called the moment “long overdue!”

One of Lambert’s frequent collaborators and co-writer of “Bluebird” Natalie Hemby commented on her Instagram post saying, “Love you, George. So so so proud of you.”

Cassadee Pope saluted Lambert with a “hell yea. Congrats!”

Randy Houser offered his congratulations and said “you deserve a lot better than one in 6-8 years. Great song and very proud of you.”

Other stars like Tanya Tucker, Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, and the Junk Gypsies sent Lambert good vibes and congratulated her on her latest accomplishment.
